Definition: A YouTube channel type identifies the type of account the channel user has set up. The default channel type is "YouTuber," and is intended for the average user, who may post the occasional family video but isn't looking for an extended following. All other channel types allow the owner to put in extended information about themselves.
The special channel types are Director, Musician, Reporter, Comedian, and Guru.
Some channel types come with additional special features. Musician and Comedian channel types let the channel owner enter dates of upcoming performances.
