When you sat in the simulated vehicle, you wore a special helmet with a clear plastic shield over the eyes. It felt almost like something Luke Skywalker would have worn to blow up a death star.
The helmet used "retro-reflective projection technology" to show a view of the outside of the "car." The view changed as you changed the position of your head and angle where you looked, so it really did feel like you were looking through the screen to see outside the "car."
I asked if the car would need to be lined in the same material as the screen they used in this simulation. The booth representatives were not native English speakers, so they did not understand my question.
Combine this car with the Immersive Media camera, and you could virtually eliminate vehicle blind spots.
