Creepy is the exact word that's been peppering the news lately when people talk about Street View on Google Maps. It seems you can't sneak out of work for a cup of coffee without some van snapping the picture and posting it to Google. There is something very eerie about the images, but there's something very cool at the same time.
The thing to remember is that this isn't new technology. Just a new way of viewing technology we already have. Microsoft has a street view, and Amazon A9 had a similar service two years ago. We're just noticing it now, because it's Google. It also looks like Google responds to requests to remove objectionable material.
So how would you react to the van? I think I'd be more apt to react like the folks in Mountain View and stand outside and wave.

Streetviewr has just had a makeover and now has upwards of 2,000 links to interesting, funny and downright unusual Street Views that can be displayed within the site itself – no more slow load times waiting for Google. There is also a tool that generates the code fragment which allows you embed Street Views directly into your own site or blog.
