To manage Alerts after you've left this area, just go to www.google.com/alerts and click on the appropriate link on the left side of the screen.
Alerts as Feeds
If you'd rather receive your Google Alerts as feeds you can read in Google Reader, you can do this by changing the Deliver to: column to Feed. Your alert frequency will also be changed to as-it-happens.
