Google Knols

By , About.com Guide

Definition: Knol is an experimental tool from Google that allows individual authors to create a page on any given topic. Authors of knols can place ads on their pages and receive a share of the revenue if they choose.

Google will host and display knols for free and will allow other search engines to index the content. As of this writing, knols are open by invitation only and Google has not yet announced where users can find knol pages.
