Definition: Google Groups is a service that allows you to create announcement lists, mailing lists, and discussion boards. Boards can be publicly visible or private.

Public content can be searched. Google Groups search also contains an archive of USENET postings as far back as 1981. Google purchased the Web service Deja News to incorporate into the service.

Google Groups can be found on the Web at groups.google.com.
