Definition: Gmail is a free email service from Google. Gmail can be read directly from the Web or through POP email reading clients, like Microsoft Exchange or Apple Mail. Gmail also integrates directly with many other Google services, including Google Talk. Gmail also offers several gigs of storage space.

Accounts were initially offered by invitation only, but registration has now been opened to everyone. Gmail is also included as part of Google Apps.
