Google Short Links

By Marziah Karch, About.com

Definition: Google Short Links is a URL shortening service for Google Apps users. It is currently a Google Labs project and available to Google Apps users only. This means that it may change significantly or disappear without being part of the main Google Apps service.

Google Short Links allows any user on a Google Apps account to create abbreviated URLs for longer Web addresses. The addresses don't have to be on the Google Apps domain.

Google Short Links is not a good service for anyone concerned about SEO (search engine optimization.) It is designed more for convenience for users who want to give out a simpler address during business presentations or in email messages.
