Electronic Paper Displays

E Ink makes "electronic paper displays." The technology is used for eBook readers, cell phones, and even watches.

Electronic paper is truly amazing to see. The black and white version really looks just like printed paper, and it can potentially be just a flexible. The curled up display to the right changed patterns as you watched, and you could pick up the paper and bend it without ruining the display. The color prototype is very readable, but not nearly as crisp.

We may soon all read our news over the breakfast table or on the bus ride to work using a wireless computing device or cell phone.
