The Chromebox is a computer that runs Google's Chrome OS and is a standalone CPU unit. The laptops running Chrome OS are known as Chromebooks, so a desktop computer model is the Chromebox. Google hopes the Chromebox takes off in places like computer labs in schools and in businesses, where a light weight thin client might be a beneficial option.
The Chromebox model (as of 2012) supports HD output for connecting to a TV, and it can run up to two 30 inch monitors at the same time. It has 6 USB ports, DVI output, and ethernet input. The starting price is $329 for the unit alone.
