Definition: Click fraud occurs when someone artificially elevates the number of clicks or impressions that register with their Web page in order to get more money for their AdSense or other Internet ads.

Google is sometimes criticized by advertisers for allowing click fraud, and Google, in turn, has announced increasing measures to prevent the practice.
