CLIQ

The CLIQ is an Android phone made by Motorola and marketed by T-Mobile in the US. The phone features a user interface that allows widgets to be embedded onto the home page for easier access to social networking services.

Google Caffeine

Caffeine is Google's next generation search engine infrastructure.

Chrome OS

The Chrome OS is an operating system for netbooks. Google plans on releasing it as an open source alternative to Windows XP. Chrome OS is a separate project from the Android operating system.

Android Cupcake

Cupcake is an upgrade to the Android mobile operating system. The upgrade began rolling out to existing Android phones in May of 2009 and featured many improvements including an on-screen keyboard.

CaptionTube

CaptionTube is a TestTube application for captioning YouTube videos. You can use the tool to caption videos. You can also use it to caption videos you don't own and send the owner a copy of the caption.

Comedian Channel Type - YouTube

In addition to all the standard features of YouTube, a comedian channel can create a custom logo, specify performance dates, and create links for CD sales.

Google Chrome

Chrome is a new Web browser from Google. As of this writing, it is still in beta and experimental. The browser is designed to run faster and more securely than other browsers on the market.

Chicklet

Chicklet is Internet slang for the little square icon indicating that an RSS feed is available for a page. It's also used to refer to the small buttons used to subscribe from a particular service, such as Google Reader.

CPA - Cost Per Action

CPA is an Internet marketing model where advertisers pay for each time a user takes a specific action. Usually this means every time someone clicks on an ad and buys something.

"The cloud" is a term that network professionals often use for the Internet. Network diagrams often depict the Internet as a cloud shape, which may be the origin of the term.

Calendar

Google Calendar is a free online calendar that allows you to share calendars with multiple users. Google Calendar can import and export data to Outlook, iCal, and Yahoo! Calendar. It is also integrated with Gmail and Personal Home Page

CAPTCHA

CAPTCHA is a trademarked term from Carnegie Mellon University and stands for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart"

Catalogs

Google Catalogs is a search engine that searches through a massive database of print catalogs. The catalogs can be searched by key words or browsed by subject.

Click Fraud

Click fraud occurs when someone artificially elevates the number of clicks or impressions that register with their Web page in order to get more money for their AdSense or other Internet advertising.

Click-to-Call

This is a service still in testing that will allow you to contact a Google advertiser at Google’s expense. You type in your phone number, and Google will phone you and connect you to the advertiser.

Cloaking

Cloaking in Google terms means designing a Web site so that search engines see one thing and visitors see another. This provides for a poor user experience, and it's a practice that can get a site removed from Google's search engine index.

Co-op

Google Co-op is currently in beta. It’s a service that allows people to contribute expertise by suggesting ways Google searches can be grouped, labeled and annotated for refined results. Users subscribe to a topic, and the topic’s labels and annotations will appear with the search results.

Code

Code is Google’s site for external developers interested in developing Google related code. This is where Google publishes free source code and related information.

Comment Spam

Comment spam is the unethical practice of leaving links in unrelated blogs and guestbooks with the intent of boosting a site's search engine ranking. Many comment spam postings are left automatically by programs that seek out blogs and guestbooks.

Google Compute is a feature of Google Toolbar that allows you to “donate” your computer’s idle time to do calculations for scientific research. Compute should not affect any of your regular computer usag

Cookin' With Google

Cookin' With Google is a search engine that uses Google to find recipes based on the ingredients you specify. The idea is to find recipes for foods that you have in your refrigerator, rather than finding recipes and checking to see that you have those ingredients on hand.

Copernicus Center

As a joke, Google posted a fake job listing for a lunar hosting and research center, “The Google Copernicus Hosting Environment and Experiment in Search Engineering (G.C.H.E.E.S.E.)“ supposedly opening in 2007.

CPC - Cost Per Click

Cost Per Click, or CPC is one method of payment for AdSense Ads. In the CPC system, webmasters hosting the AdSense ads are paid a price for every person who clicks on an ad.

CPM - Cost Per Thousand Impressions

CPM or cost per thousand impressions is an AdSense pricing scheme where webmasters are paid for every thousand times an ad is displayed on a page.

Google Checkout is a Google service that processes credit card payments. Business owners can offer Google Checkout as a payment method for customers.
