Google Apps Gets Heavy Promotion
Even with heavy promotion, converting users from existing Microsoft products will not be an easy task. There are plenty of people uncomfortable with change, and a good share of them make technology purchasing decisions for their company.
Small business is a much better target than large business. They are probably a lot more ready to try something new, especially if it helps keep a lid on software expense. Small businesses also have fewer employees to retrain on new tools. Even with that advantage, there's still a lot of inertia fighting against Google on this one.
