Google's annual developer conference, Google I/O opened for registrations today. It also sold out less than an hour later. While Google warned about last year's registration selling out "in record time," last year's record was more like a month and a half, not the rock concert speeds we saw today.
Why the speed? With super powerful Android phones on the way, Android tablets, and Chrome netbooks, Google development is more than an interesting hobby. It's big time business. Besides, Google's been giving attendees phones in recent years. Maybe this year it will be Xoom tablets or Chrome netbooks.
