Just in time for the holidays, Google Product Search got some upgrades. The feature updates include bigger pictures for better window shopping, maps to find local stores, and better display of customer reviews. You can even see video reviews from YouTube.
The new reviews on the detail page are actually pretty slick. Not only do you get a graphical bar to show you how the rating were distributed, you can hover over one-line review summaries to dig deeper and reach the full review.
They've also created a mobile version of Product Search that uses your phone's camera for barcode scanning, so you can look up reviews in the store while you're shopping. ShopSavvy already does basically the same thing on Android or iPhones, but Google is throwing in the extra bonus that you can find coupons while you shop with Google Product search.
