Google introduced two versions of Google Toolbar which introduce experimental features before they make the general release. The new versions are referred to as Toolbar Labs after Google Labs, a collection of test products and experimental applications.
Toolbar with My Location detects your location using nearby Wi-Fi access points. This makes it easier to find driving directions or nearby restaurants with Google Maps, since you don't have to type in your location first. Google claims your location isn't associated with your Google ID at all.
The second Toolbar Labs experiment is the Google Simplified Chinese Toolbar, which is, as the name implies, a specialized version of Google Toolbar for Chinese speaking users.
Toolbar Labs are only available for Internet Explorer.
