Google Loses the iPhone Interface

At some point about a year after they launched it, Google stopped directing iPhone and iPod users to their own iGoogle interface and instead directed all phones to the same page: iPhone Interface
While it's not the ugliest phone interface in the world, it's still not the sleek interface iPhone users had come to expect. When asked about it, a Google representative in the thread said that they were working to make all mobile users have the same experience and that
"Most or all of your existing content should translate over to the standard mobile version. The only exception would be any gadgets that aren't compatible with most mobile browsers."
