Google Suggest

Saturday August 30, 2008
You may have noticed a new feature for Google. Google Suggest has officially graduated from Google Labs and is being rolled out to the main search engine.

What is it? Google Suggest starts showing live suggestions in a drop down box as you type. This saves you keystrokes and prevents spelling errors. It also saves you the extra click for those Did you mean? results.

This should be awesome, right? Well, as with everything Google, not everyone agrees. Some Web designers are complaining that it might ruin their long tail marketing efforts or efforts to optimize for misspellings.

What's your take? Do you like Google Suggest, or do you think it belongs back in Google Labs?
