Even Google Gets the Blues

Google competitor Yahoo! announced that layoffs were coming, and investors seemed to take it out on Google, who's stock has been falling in recent weeks.

Why is that? Well, as CNN and countless other sources pointed out, Google makes most of its money from advertising revenue. If the entire US economy is entering recession, surely businesses will spend less money on Internet advertising.

On the other hand, if the economy miraculously perks back up, I bet a lot of investors will be sorry they let that stock go.
