Google Docs More Popular Than Office Live

According to one research firm, Google Docs is currently the most visited online office suite. Microsoft's Office Live came in a distant second.

That doesn't mean that everyone has suddenly put down Microsoft Office and started using Google Docs. Online office tools are still a very small portion of the market. Don't think it will be a small portion forever, though.

Microsoft Office carries a nearly $400 suggested retail price. Most users can get equivalent functionality by using Google Docs and downloading StarOffice from the Google Pack. For free. Microsoft is going to have to come up with something amazing to compete with that offer.
