SIGGRAPH Monday

I'm in-between sessions today at SIGGRAPH, and I'm having a fantastic time.

I met with Edward Bakhash, the CEO of SpaceTime, which is a beta Web browser that lets you navigate Web sites in 3D. SpaceTime has special features for browsing Google services, like Google News and Google Image Search.

I also met with Mark Shepard, who showed me the Tactical Sound Garden Kit, which is an open-source platform for "planting" sounds into a space to make a garden that users can enjoy by listening and planting sounds on wireless devices. When I walked by the booth, he was using a Google Maps mashup for a live display of where sounds have been planted today.
