Google Zeitgeist

Google clarified a little about what they meant by the top searches of 2006. Rather than the absolutely most popular searches, which don't change much year to year, (and some of which don't make family-friendly reading) Google picked terms that were popular in 2006 but not as popular in 2005.

This more closely fits the definition of zeitgeist. If you're not familiar with the word, why not use Google as a dictionary to find the definition?
