Google for Educators

Monday December 4, 2006
Google announced that they were partnering with Teach for America, a program that recruits recent college grads to teach for two years in low-income schools. Google will offer two year deferrals to graduates who get both a full-time job offer from Google and are accepted into Teach for America.

Google has been working very hard to be friendly in the education world, with special programs for educators and an education version of Google Aps for Your Domain. They've been encouraging educators to take advantage of free Google products, like Google Docs & Spreadsheets, rather than pay for rival Microsoft's software. Smart move.
