Google Bombs Away

Wednesday October 25, 2006
It's nearly election time in the US, and that means it's time for political Google bombs. This year bloggers on both sides of the spectrum are buying Adwords and setting Google bombs in a last-minute effort to influence undecided voters.

I really don't know how many people get their political views from Google. Blogger and Google News probably have far more influence than simple Web searches, and there probably aren't that many undecided voters that are actually researching candidates, anyway. Decided and very opinionated voters are the ones that do all the last minute googling, frantically searching for dirt on the other candidate.
