Google Respects Copyright

Wednesday September 27, 2006
Google felt the need to clarify their copyright policy today. Why? There's been recent problems with Belgium, and publishing companies have objected to Google Print from the onset.

Why? Why old media companies, why are you shooting yourselves in the foot? Being listed in Google is good. It drives traffic to your Web site. It lets you make money from advertising revenue. People work really hard to improve their Google listing. Not being listed in Google is bad, but if you like bad, you can just ask Google to delist your site, and Google will happily comply. Don't blame Google when nobody visits your Web site and you go bankrupt.
